So ‘Climate Change’ is really just an attempt at Global Political Power?

Go figger.

In a stark confrontation with reality, Ohio representatives today realized that their actions have doomed the country, a move that will surely cause many hopeless individuals who have lost everything, due to careless government over-regulation and over-spending, to drag themselves to the edge of the precipice and hurl themselves off.

One official is quoted as saying, “If we let them all kill themselves, who will we tax to death?  If all the business owners start killing themselves, whose wealth will we generously redistribute?”

“It seems as though the problem is,” Obama said in an active endorsement of the plan, “we’ve seen what freedom to escape from overbearing government regulation can do, and the free-market-suicide principles that got us into this mess have been tested, and failed, and uh, we need to regulate the way out, because we need everyone to, uh, chip in, and bail, uh help, uh, out everyone and we just can’t afford right now, no one can, not even the people trying to kill themselves, to have people killing themselves. Uh.  Um.”

There are others, however, who think differently.

“It’s a man’s right to pick how to escape from the overbearing all-consuming absolute megalomaniacal rule of these idiot demagogue thieves.  And if we can’t jump off the Akron bridge, and be cleanly swept down the river, I suppose now we’ve got to think of some other sorts of ideas, such as overturning the government, or driving into a tree,”  a man said, who asked to remain anonymous, as he downed his flask and started his car.

Politicians, however, are still trying to think of ways to ease the crushing blow to the populus of losing the right to the fruits of their labors, so that they can continue to live off of the achievements of men far better than themselves.

Just because environmentalist idiots are trying to ruin our lives doesn’t mean we shouldn’t take care of our resources so that our children have them as well.  It just means we shouldn’t try to ruin everybody’s lives by throwing ourselves back to the Stone Age to do it.

The answer is MORE Human Achievement, not less.

I do have some qualms with the title of their organization though….

It seems as though the world is transfixed with the idea of there only being enough goods and services for everyone to have a little bit.

And this makes sense, considering that most people don’t really work for a living anymore.

Maybe if they realized that chopping down trees and building a cabin and planting crops doesn’t take any cabins or crops away from anyone else, they’d stop whining and start pursuing their desires.

The blindingly obvious is apparently actually blinding.

I feel personally offended.  As a white person with blue eyes, I can personally say that I have had no part in this crisis, the profits, nor the losses, and wish that I had had some part in this crisis, namely, the profiteering part beforehand.

Lumping together all white people as rich is insensitive.  It makes me acutely aware of my non-richness.  And as a non-rich white person, I feel like I’m betraying my white heritage.  Because I”m not rich.

That politician ought to be held accountable for his actions.  White people are just as entitled to be poor and unsuccessful as anybody else, damnit!

Or not.

I have the blog up and running and mostly doing what I want, but nothing new is in the news, except for more of the same. Obama is passing grossly irresponsible spending, and Pelosi is drunk with power and unable to pronounce her own name properly…

Tomorrow, I suppose instead of just reading the latest news and bitching to my real life circle of friends, I’ll be able to complain to the world at large.
